Dear Friends,

At the bottom of the page attached is a full letter concerning the General Chapter held in Italy for the Poor Knights.

The following is a summary of the letter:

The Militia Templi held a General Chapter October 30 of 2016.The Grandmaster spoke about the need of forming our Novices with great attention to our Rule. To address his concern upon returning home the preceptory gave 9 conferences on the Rule given at our Novice Retreat December 3rd (available on our YouTube Channel).

The Knights have a new Preces to say after Lauds and Vespers (available here).

All knights are instructed to revisit basic Catechetical instruction, the Catechism of St. Pius X was suggested. The Grand Chaplain would also like the Knights to study the Life of St. Thomas More. The Preceptories youtube channel was praised, we were encouraged to add more, make playlists and work with Priests for our content.

Clarifications were made in regards to the Chapter of Faults, and what actions of discipline can be taken against a member.

The Magistral Legate cannot be a Commander, because of a conflict of interest this would cause with him being president of the Preceptorial Tribunal.

It is the expectation of our superiors that we hold a Preceptorial Chapter every year.

The Grandmaster, Don. Andrea, and dom. Lorenzo sent their prayers, greeting and affection to all of the brothers of the Preceptory.
